The film opens in a modern-day (but judging by the ponytails, really the early 90's) San Francisco, reporter Daniel Molloy (Christian Slater) interviews Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt), about his life as a vampire. Louis discibes his life in Spanish Louisiana in 1791, where One night, Louis encounter vampire Armand (Antonio Banderas); Armand invites Louis and Claudia to his coven, the Théâtre des Vampires. Also in the cast is an extremely young Kirsten Dunst, as the child vampire Claudia. The last person I find extremely important in the movie and that is tied with Louis is Lestat(Played by Tom Cruise) who is the creator of Louis and later on of Claudia. They negotiated with us to get the right to do that, to make a real adaptation, another dramatic adaptation by doing Claudia's view of the story of Interview With the Vampire, and I'm curious as to how that will work. The story itself is about a young man named Louis who is turned into a vampire by the vampire Lestat, and his struggles and life as a vampire, as well as the life of his companion, a young girl vampire named Claudia.
